He has been a railway fan since his childhood and knows almost every kilometer of rail track in Germany from personal experience. Born in Tirol, speaks Italian fluently. Holds a PhD in philosophy, which was supervised by Professor Habermas, with Habermas as the subject of the doctoral thesis (magna cum laude). She is a trained newspaper journalist and worked for five years for the Frankfurter Rundschau, including two years as department editor. Has been working for the Pro-Rail Alliance since 2009.

He is an expert on the environmental impact of railway rolling stock and has a talent for languages (English, French, Russian, Spanish, Swedish). He has worked for the Pro-Rail Alliance since 2003, and was previously employed as a scientific researcher at the universities of Bremen and Oldenburg.

She is the only qualified engineer working for the Pro-Rail Alliance, which she joined in 2008. Previously employed as a departmental head for an engineering company and worked several years at a construction firm. She knows her way around the intricacies of EU funding sources.
