Our partners in Europe

flags of european countries

The Pro-Rail Alliance's European network continues to expand, with increasing cooperation with pro rail organisations from other European countries. Our official partners are:

Railforum (Netherlands)

Railforum was founded in the Netherlands in 1992 by companies and organisations operating in the railway sector and by the Dutch ministry of transport. It aims to provide a broad platform for the exchange of rail-related knowledge. Railforum promotes the benefits of safe and environmentally friendly rail transport for society, including in a wider European context, to ensure that increasing traffic does not affect the quality of life. Railforum is actively engaged in public relations and has close contact with politicians, the business sector and non-profit organisations. Its 85 members come from all areas of the railway sector and from government. It is supported by environmental and consumer organisations

Savez za željeznicu (Croatia)

The Croatian railway alliance Savez za željeznicu is an independent umbrella organisation that was founded in April 2008 in close cooperation with the German Pro-Rail Alliance, upon which it is modelled. Savez za željeznicu currently has 11 members, mainly unions, professional associations and social groups, and 31 companies involved in the railway sector. Its main aims are to support, promote and improve the railways in the Republic of Croatia. Savez za željeznicu focuses particularly on increasing the market share of passenger and freight rail transport and on reducing the competitive disadvantages suffered by the railways compared with other modes of transport.

Pro Rautatie (Finland)

Pro Rautatie (Pro Railway) was founded in 1997. The association's aims are to promote and develop railway transport. It brings together organisations and other players who are interested in the sustainability and future development of the railways. The members of the Pro Railway are companies and communities. Private citizens can participate as supporting members of Pro Railway.
